For the Fall/Winter 2018 collection, Maison Père draws its inspiration f rom the emergence of R&B and New York street style f rom the 90’s . An authentic uniform emerged from this musical period -- sweatpants, hoodies and logo sweatshirts -- and these emblematic pieces are reinvented today by Maison Père. This aesthetic directly inspires the silhouettes, volume and materials used in the collection. Velvet is worn as a total look, sweaters are oversized. Bandanna prints punctuate the monochromatic looks. This streetwear sensibility is combined with a neo-bourgeois influence - reminding the Fresh Prince of Bel Air - and is represented through the use of lurex, silk and jacquard. Lace and tartan brings a modern femininity to the collection as seen in jackets, shirt and trousers. Overall the collection reflects a wardrobe at the crossroads of Hip Hop and a vintage elegance that is characteristic of Maison Père.
